I was asked about the LEDs in my work. I tried out many different ones in the past, but now finally settled for one type: Neopixel Full Color LEDs

The best LEDs for glowing instruments I could find in Japan!

I purchase them at Mr. Shigeta's shop is in Akihabara, called "Shigezone" LINK.

It is on the 1st floor of Tokyo Radio Department Store, pretty close to the entrance.

He told me that he went to visit the maker of the LEDs in China to make sure the quality is good enough. I am absolutely convinced! He is a really nice and helpful person and will kindly explain the details of his products. If you happen to be in Akihabara, pop in and say Hi!

The coolest thing about them is, that they have a mode reacting to sound. So you play the instrument and the LEDs shine along with what you play. On stage, that should be awesome!

The LEDs in action!

I am just getting started with this, but I am pretty sure that I will focus on glowing ukuleles and guitars from now on. I want to make crazy, shiny, glittery instruments. Life is too short to be boring my friends, especially on stage! Rock'N'Roll!!!!!!
