Leo Paul is a Les Paul (set neck) type guitar made of mahogany with maple top. I created it in my second year at ESP Guitar Craft Academy Tokyo. It will soon go on sale, but there are still a few little details I (badass perfectionist) want to change.

My teacher went bonkers when I, gaijin second-year weekend course student - told him that I want to make it semi-hollow and insert LEDs, carving out a design and filling those holes with resin. (He knew I was crazy by that time, since Sushi Monster was already finished, so this was just the next level...)

Well, he was right that this would be a lot of work and be very time consuming, hence - yeah, when my classmates carried home their finished set necks, I applied the sanding filler. Haha.

LEDs need a power source. I am still searching for better solutions, but this is what Leo Paul has: Exchangeable 5V LEDs fixated by a magnet close to the toggle switch in the tunnel within the body that can be plugged into a power bank in Leo Paul's backside.

It also has a USB jack between the (sure, cat-eye) guitar jack and strap pin. So you can decide if Leo lights up the stage or hangs on a wall, plugged in and glows like a lamp.

LED-check just after buffing at ESP Guitar Craft Academy Tokyo.

If you are interested in reserving Leo Paul before it goes on sale around autumn, please get in touch. So much for the moment. Please follow me on social media, like, share and show some love via comments. Cheers with ears!
